Extra speedy

This radio's screen fills a double-DIN dash opening, but its single-DIN chassis gives you plenty of room for storing wiring or interfaces behind your dash. The XAV-AX3700's anti-glare screen keeps things visible when the sun is bright, and Sony's Quick Wake feature activates the screen within a few seconds of turning on the ignition. Another nice touch — you can set the clock for analog display, digital display, or no display at all.

Getting your sound right

This receiver also brings an impressive array of sound-sculpting controls to the party, including a 14-band graphic equalizer, 5-channel time alignment, and a 3-zone crossover network. The radio's built-in amplifier delivers 20 watts RMS per channel, while front, rear, and mono subwoofer preamp outputs are ready when it's time to add amplifiers to your system.

Use this stereo's USB-C rear input for keeping your phone charged as well as accessing music files. You can play high-resolution FLAC, WAV, ALAC, and DSD audio files on a thumb drive, and Sony's LDAC technology lets you stream music at a much higher bit rate than standard Bluetooth. Sony also includes a rear input for connecting a backup cam for increased safety in the parking lot.

iDatalink Maestro lets you keep your factory features

The XAV-AX3700 offers compatibility you won't find in many other aftermarket radios, thanks to the iDatalink Maestro module (not included). In a wide selection of vehicles, this module lets you keep factory features that you'd otherwise lose when you install a new radio. You'll also be able to check out engine performance data and other vehicle info on the Sony's screen. Once you've identified your vehicle, you'll see the iDatalink module offered on the way to the Shopping Cart if it's compatible.

You'll need a wired connection to your parking brake to access settings and other features on this receiver. Your parking brake must be connected and set in order to view video on its screen.
